What is CP All About?
The Cooperative Program is the funding process that Southern Baptists use to support missions and evangelism. Through the Cooperative Program, the mission of one church is extended to ministries which reach the lost, hungry, hurting , sick and displaced. In addition, the Cooperative Program is how we support more than 10,500 missionaries around the globe.
As a part of the Congregational Services Group, the Cooperative Program office has the assignment to communicate with churches and associations about their role in partnering with other Missouri Baptist Convention churches in God’s mission plan of fulfilling Acts 1:8. The CP office will seek to provide Missouri Baptist Convention Churches with materials and resources that are consistent with God's Word, and in support of the MBC and SBC.
Twice each year, the Cooperative Program is highlighted: In the Spring, Cooperative Program Day is held in April; in the Fall, October is designated Cooperative Program Month. Our office provides churches materials to help in the promotion for these two events.
