Inner City St Louis - "The Project" is a strategic nine-day period where hundreds of students will experience evangelistic instruction and field training in leadership, teamwork, management, counseling, decision-making, theology, missions, music evangelism, and church planting for the enrichment and fulfillment of an authentic Christian life. Junior high (completed seventh grade) and high school students will serve in churches, apartment complexes, and local parks through the following capacities: Vacation Bible School, Kids Clubs, Door-to-Door and Street Evangelism, Teen Clubs, and Prayer Walking. Príncipe de Paz Baptist Church, a member of the Blue River-Kansas City Baptist Association, is located in the northeast part of Kansas City, Missouri. It is a small congregation with limited financial means. The church building is badly in need of repairs. In particular, as a result of the leaking roof, the ceilings are damaged. The church needs 80' x 42 1/2' of commercial grade roll roofing. Several months ago, the air conditioning units were destroyed and the sound system was stolen. The air conditioning units do not need to be new as long as they are in good condition. There are men in the congregation who can provide the labor. However, Príncipe de Paz needs the assistance of people and churches that have the ability to donate materials. Shining Light Baptist Church, Charleston, MO is trying to reach their community for Christ and their emphasis is on children and youth. A team of men are needed to do construction, roofing, framing, drywall, plumbing, painting, and electricity work. In 2008, they would like teams to come and help with two Vacation Bible Schools and teams for two Sports Camps.
