TEAMS AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY
The focus of strategic planning and team work must be on the Head of the Church, Jesus Christ. Materials and resources that help us to keep our focus can be found on this page.

Fast-Forwarding Your Church's Future

Thy Kingdom Come is a four to six month process of strategic planning that seeks the heart of God and responds to His Heart.  By the time you finish Thy Kingdom Come you will have fast-forwarded your church’s future.

Thy Kingdom Come is unique in that it is:

Spiritually based.  It is not another process borrowed from the business world and adapted to fit church life

Future-oriented.  This process helps churches focus on the future God has planned for them, their next chapter or ministry.

Church-friendly.  It is based on what churches do: worship, evangelism, missions, etc.

Kingdom-focused.  Thy Kingdom Come focuses on Kingdom growth, not just what goes on inside the local church.

Focused on strengths instead of weaknesses.  It helps you discover and develop your strengths, and manage your weaknesses.

Integrated.  Each section is connected to the main theme of being spiritually prepared.

Not dependent on a consultant.  Thy Kingdom Come belongs to the church.

Simple. The process is easy to follow.

BUILDING POWERFUL MINISTRY TEAMS

Building Powerful Ministry Teams is biblically-based and powerfully practical.  The workshop utilizes hands-on learning tools, multimedia presentations, and interactive exercises that stimulate learning and application.  This outstanding material addresses six characteristics of God-honoring teams:

  1. Common Purpose.  When the team's purpose is collectively developed, it can be clear and compelling.  That purpose then becomes the cornerstone for a high-performing ministry team.

  2. Clear Roles.  Each person's gifts, abilities, and responsibilities contribute to accomplishing the ultimate goal.

  3. Accepted Leadership.  Servant leaders know when to lead, when to share leadership, and how to serve the leadership within the team.

  4. Effective Processes.  Gaining agreement on the processes for thinking together and working together significantly increase a team's ability to accomplish their God-given purpose.

  5. Solid Relationships.  The team is a microcosm of the family of God and reflects God's love, reproof, forgiveness, and acceptance.

  6. Excellent Communication.  Honesty, kindness, consistency, and clarity enable the ministry team to build up each other as they accomplish the goals God has entrusted to them.
