JULY MISSOURI PRAYERWAYS

JULY 1, 2007: Pray that MK Philip Rowland (22, SAM) will seek the Lord’s will in life decisions he is making.//LES: Ask God if He wants you to be a prayer walker in Lesotho this year.//PR/VI: Pray for the Acteens coming to BLUME this month and the MO churches helping to sponsor them.

JULY 2: Lift up the many missionaries whose names we cannot share for security reasons.//LES: Pray for good school breaks for our missionary kids (MKs).//PR/VI: Thank God for Christian workers who are actively living their faith.

JULY 3: Pray for our national leaders during your patriotic celebrations.//LES: Ask that the Dials’ adopted boys, Karabo and Mohao, get proper paperwork for the trip to the U.S.//PR/VI: Pray that our Executive Director Nellie Torrado will receive good medical care and be restored to health.

JULY 4: As we celebrate our nation’s birthday today, let us pray that we might once again be “One nation, under God.”//LES: Pray for the Dials as they travel in the mountains during their winter season.//PR/VI: Thank God that WMU President Rosa Cruz was able to attend annual meeting in Hannibal, and pray that others will be blessed by her reports of our promised support.

JULY 5: Pray for mission teams from Missouri churches who are serving around the world this summer.//LES: Pray for the group of new believers that David disciples each Thursday.//PR/ VI: Continue to pray for New Jerusalem Spanish congregation as they meet in a home and try to raise funds for a church building on the land they have secured.

JULY 6: Thank God for the ministry of Bill Womack (ret, MAC) on the field and in retirement.//LES: Pray that God will continue to bless the ministry of volunteers who come to work with us.//PR/VI: Pray for our churches without pastors at this time.

JULY 7: Pray that Erma Highfill (SAM) will have the peace that passes all understanding.//LES: Pray for Wes as he meets with Ntate and Mme Mokhathi tomorrow to study the life of Christ.//PR/VI: Thank God for our new partnership agreement and ask how your WMU can be an active part of it.

JULY 8: Pray for MK Jillian Hoover (17, MAC) and her mother JaDonna as they work together on her college plans.// Pray that MK Vanessa (24, EAsia) will know God’s leading in life decisions she is making.  Thank God for the ongoing ministry of Jim Reid (ret. NV).//LES: Pray for the mountain people who stay away from unheated churches during our cold winter.

JULY 9: Pray that K. W. (PacRim) will know God’s presence and a sense of security each day. Pray that MK Joy Broyles (9, WAfr) will find ways to share God’s love.//LES: Ask God to bless the new church in Kgubetswana and the young pastor, Mlotha.//PR/VI: Pray that we will find the leadership to develop a much-needed prison ministry.

JULY 10: Pray for Rochelle McDanel (CEEur) and Mary Ellen (CEEur) to find creative ways to share the gospel story in restricted areas. Thank God for the years of overseas ministry of Jack Young (ret, SAM).  Pray the Father will bring new delights into the life of MK Abigail (6, LF).//LES: Pray for ongoing fruit from the labors of teams from Georgia and Kentucky earlier this year.

JULY 11: Pray for adjustments to lifestyle that are being made by Jennifer Ward (CESA). Remember Retha Brewster (ret. PacRim) as she continues to share God’s faithfulness.//LES: Lift up the plans of the Melvins to start True Love Waits programs as a church planting tool in the lowlands.

JULY 12: Pray for those who serve with Missouri Disaster Relief Teams.//LES: Pray that Sefiri’s passion for the lost will not grow dim as he studies at the seminary.//PR/VI: Lift up Yaminna Morales as she leads our language ministries.

JULY 13: Pray that Eric Laffoon (CESA) will know God’s leading in ministry decisions.//LES: Pray for churches to grow from the ministry of the Dials in Ha Seshote valley.//PR/VI: Ask that Christian tourists will boldly share their faith and exhibit a Christian lifestyle while here.

JULY 14: Pray for Janice Keeton (CESA) to have a contagious joy in the Lord each day. Ask that Bob Hill (CEEur) will have opportunities to share Christ as he fulfills mundane daily tasks. Pray for MK Anna Stow (9, CESA) and MK Levi Weaver (9, SAM) to see God’s handiwork in the world around them and rejoice in Him.//LES: Lift up our summer missionaries as they lead Bible studies and witness in villages.

JULY 15: Pray that journeyman Melissa (PacRim) will know God’s protection and abiding presence.//LES: Pray for Molapo as he serves as the lay leader of the Khohoba fellowship.//PR/VI: Lift up the president of our Baptist Convention, Rene Pereira, as he leads us to stand for righteousness.

JULY 16: Thank God for the years of service of Clyde Leonard (ret. MO) and Rose Tritten (ret. OK).//LES: Pray for the implementation of the theological education by extension courses.//PR/VI: Pray for the Holy Spirit’s anointing on His servants so that their words and actions will stir lost souls to follow Jesus.

JULY 17: Pray for MK Abigail (8, CEEur) and her family as they return to the field.//LES: Pray that babies orphaned by AIDS will be adopted by Christian couples who will provide loving homes for them.//PR/VI: Lift up Adrienne Durso in her work as secretary of our WMU.

JULY 18: Pray that Nelda Gann (ret, CESA) will enjoy good health and strength. Pray for Mary Mangrum (MAC) to trust God for every need and be free from worry and cares.//LES: Ask that MK Jordan Gestring (16, CESA) will be able to share his faith with national peers.

JULY 19: Ask that Ann Joy Herman (ret. KS) will recognize opportunities to share her faith.//LES: Pray that activities of renewal will be available for the Dials while on stateside assignment.//PR/VI: Ask God to bless believers meeting faithfully for Bible study, prayer, and encouragement.

JULY 20: Pray for Darla Millar (MAC) to have patience and joy in the Lord as she serves Him each day. Lift up Mitch Bryant (ret. NV) as he seeks to know God’s leadership in ministry decisions.//LES: Pray that the entire Basotho team will have wisdom to know how to break down cultural barriers and build bridges toward understanding and receiving the Gospel.

JULY 21: Pray for Carl Rees (MAC) to know God’s presence in today’s tasks.  N.N. (LF) needs our prayer support as she cares for her new baby in a restricted area.  Pray that MK Dawson (7, PacRim) will enjoy the summer break from school work.//LES: Pray that a church will result from the storying efforts of the Dials in Ha Ramokoatsi.

JULY 22: Pray that Debi Hutcherson (CA) and Carolyn Vargas (MO) will see fruit for their labor and not grow weary in well-doing. Ask that MK Joshua Davis (16, CESA) will find quietness and peace in Jesus as a friend.  Pray that MK Tara Korff (15, PacRim) will have goals for life that will help her make wise choices.//LES: Pray that Basotho churches will learn to support their pastors, financially and prayerfully.

JULY 23: Pray for safety and divine leadership for our military chaplains and the troops they serve.//LES: Thank God for those who faithfully pray for our ministry to the Basotho.//PR/VI: Pray that our women will be alert to needs around them that they can meet in the name of Jesus.

JULY 24: Pray for the children and youth attending summer camps to make a new commitment to Christ and missions.//LES: Pray for our missionaries to show godly examples through their marriages and home life.//PR/VI: Pray for leadership training opportunities for our local WMU leaders.

JULY 25: Pray that David (LF) will feel secure in God’s love and be able to share His peace. Ask that Sandra Williams (KY) and Michael Cook (CA) will have unique opportunities for rest and refreshment today.  Pray for Donald Spiegel (ret, SAM), Carmen Laramore (ret, MI), and Jesse Stogsdill (ret, SD) as they continue to seek ministry opportunities.// LES: Pray that witch doctors will meet the Master and be freed from bondage.

JULY 26: Thank God for the years of ministry of James Kirkendall (ret, NAME).//LES: The Gestrings ask us to pray for them as they seek new direction in their ministry.//PR/VI: Pray for our vice presidents, Sylvellena, Raquel, Myrna, and Marisol as they help local WMU organizations.

JULY 27: Pray for Kathryn Richardson (ret, CEEur) to find peace and rest in the Lord.//LES: Continue to pray for cultural adjustments the Melvins are making and for their extended family in their absence.//PR/VI: Lift up Maritza Ocasio, prayer advocate, who will be sending the requests for us each month.

JULY 28: Pray for those going out from Missouri on mission trips this summer.//LES: Pray for the Saturday Women’s Bible study led by Carla.//PR/VI: Pray that our WMU members will radiate God’s love in their daily lives.

JULY 29: Pray for peace and protection for L.A.S. (EEur) as she serves in a difficult area. Pray that Dave Bennett (ret. MO) will see God at work through his ministry.//LES: Pray for Chief Hutto of Khohlontso village to come to faith in Jesus Christ.//PR/VI: Pray for our churches to support their pastors in prayer and finances.

JULY 30: Pray for leadership and peace for L.B. (LF) as she chooses times and places to minister.//LES: Pray for opportunities to share the Gospel with Chinese who manage factories in Lesotho.//PR/VI: Pray for the Acteens who came to BLUME as they go home and share their experiences.

JULY 31: Pray that Sheila Wilbanks (WEur) will know God’s leadership and will as she serves Him.  Pray for Sherry Woods (WAfr) to have good closure experiences as she prepares for retirement.  Ask for good health and strength for Beverly Goss (ret. OK).//LES: Pray for more workers to answer God’s call to serve in Lesotho.
