Real Evangelim conference set for FBC Arnold Feb. 18-20

ARNOLD – First Baptist Church, Arnold, will host the 20th Annual Bailey Smith Real Evangelism Conference Feb. 18-20, according to Pastor Gerald Davidson.

Speakers at the three-day meeting will include Bailey Smith, former president of the Southern Baptist Convention; Jerry Falwell, pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church, Lynchburg, Va.; and Junior Hill, an Alabama evangelist.

Activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, with a message by Smith, who now concentrates on evangelistic crusades and sponsoring Bible conferences. Greater Vision, one of the top Southern Gospel music trios nationally, will also be in concert the opening night.

Greater Vision has been named Trio of the Year by two Gospel music magazines and also have earned song of the year, album of the year and video of the year awards.

The Thursday morning program, beginning at 10 a.m., will feature Harold Danley, an evangelist from Elaine, Ark; and Hill. Hill also will speak Thursday afternnoon and Thursday night. Jerry Johnston, pastor of First Family Church, Overland Park, Kan., will preach Thursday afternoon. Falwell will speak Thursday evening.

Friday’s schedule includes Ted Traylor, pastor of Olive Baptist Church, Pensacola, Fla.; Ergun Caner, Liberty University; Phil Hoskins, pastor of Higher Ground Baptist Church, Kingsport, Tenn.; and Danny Funderburk, a Southern Gospel music artist who formerly sang with The Cathedrals.
