Find out what you need to have a successful children’s choir ministry and ways to boost what you already have. Learn to use the curriculum as well as some tried and true activities. Tanya and Virginia, together have decades of experience in Children's Choir, come and let them help you learn to teach your children to become worship leaders.

Using Loops in Worship - 2 hr - Chris Rhodes

Description:  Have you ever heard a live concert and wondered how the singers could push their voice that hard every night without ever loosing their voice?  Or have you ever been sitting in the concert listening to the instruments only to realize the instrument you’re hearing isn’t even on the stage?  This class will teach you the tricks of the trade that professional musicians have been using for years!  We will start with the basics...using a click track with a praise band...and will go from there into multi-instrument recording and playback.  We will also give you hands-on experience with in-ear monitors, allowing you to listen to the click track, different instruments and voices.  We will equip you with the knowledge needed to begin the process of using loops, and will give you resources for future help and purchases.

Starting (Any) Instrumental Ensemble in Your Church - 2 hr - John Francis

Description: Do you shutdown if anyone mentions 'a church orchestra'?

An avid instrumentalist, John teaches how you can start with a lonely flute player, or a drummer, or a tuba player (you'd be surprised, your church probably has one) - and help them to celebrate the Lord's goodness in worship with their instrument. Again a very q and a friendly environment and lots of participation is encouraged.

Choir Rehearsal/Handbell Rehearsal

Description: This is an opportunity to sing or play for enjoyment, and to perhaps present a time of worship at the concert. If you do handbells, either take the basic course, or you need some experience.

Platform Basics - 2 hr - John Francis

Description: What can you do to be a more inviting worship leader. Bring some music that you know - this will be more than a lecture environment. We will do hands on worship leading, to become better communicators.

Advanced A/V - 2 hr - Jeremy Duren and Chris Rhodes

Description: This course will go in depth on the use of outboard processing gear and equalization of a room and the eq section on a mixing console.   This course will teach the proper use of the ever complicated eq section on a mixing console, and the graphic eq on the system outputs.  You will also learn how to hook up and when to use compression and multi effects.  This course will also cover the effective use of monitors, both traditional wedges and personal in ears.
