A bit of history on Women's Ministry...
In the late 1970's and early 1980's, women's ministry groups began to emerge in churches as a result of a spiritual hunger for in-depth Bible studies and personal prayer. In the beginning, the grass roots movement primarily focused on Bible studies and special events for women.
Today many churches have organized women's ministry groups and many are developing girl's ministries, developed budgets, planned programs and some have hired staff.
MBC wants to partner with our churches to provide training and resources for women and girls in today's local church so that we can join God in His movement among us. We have watched as ministry has spread from the teaching of the Word of God to grow women spiritually.
As spiritual growth flourishes we see changes in relationships (social, family, communication, witnessing, service, fellowship), physical benefits (health, nutrition, addictions), emotional changes (self-esteem, depression, crises counseling), and mental skills (decision-making, time management, finances, leadership skills) all begin to be changed for the better.
Over the past decade we have seen Girl's Ministries begin to spring up all over the country as a direct result of the impact of Women's Ministries growth and development as they have begun to live out the teachings in Titus 2.
